About these terms
These terms and conditions apply to your use of RingOut, the AI receptionist service provided by RingOut Pty Ltd ("RingOut", "we", "us"). They cover the RingOut website, your account and the call answering service delivered by Miya, our AI receptionist.
By creating an account, choosing a plan or using the service, you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and the business you represent. If you do not agree, please do not use RingOut.
The service
RingOut answers inbound calls that you forward to it. Miya greets callers in your business name, answers questions using the information you provide, books appointments into a connected Google Calendar or Calendly account, and records the outcome of each call in your dashboard.
RingOut handles inbound calls only and does not make outbound or sales calls. Call recordings, transcripts and summaries are included on Growth, Professional and Business plans, and spam call screening on Professional and Business.
Your account
You must give accurate details when you sign up and keep them current. You are responsible for activity under your account, for keeping your login secure and for the business information, prices and policies you load into RingOut.
You must be authorised to act for the business that uses the service and to forward its phone numbers to RingOut.
Plans, billing and GST
Plans are listed on our pricing page. All prices are in Australian dollars and exclude GST, which is added to your invoice. Starter is $49 a month, Growth $149, Professional $399 and Business $699, each with the included call minutes shown for that plan.
Monthly plans are billed each month in advance. Calls beyond your included minutes are charged at your plan's extra-minute rate, and add-ons such as extra phone numbers or simultaneous calls are charged at the prices shown when you add them.
There is no setup fee. On Growth and higher plans we will set the service up with you if you ask.
Cancellation
You can cancel a monthly plan at any month end from your account or by emailing hello@ringout.ai. The service continues until the end of the billing period you have paid for.
Nothing in these terms limits any refund or remedy you are entitled to under the Australian Consumer Law.
How Miya handles calls
Miya is an AI system. She introduces herself as an AI receptionist, follows the information and rules you set, and passes calls she cannot resolve to your team as call outcomes with the caller's details.
AI can make mistakes. You should review call outcomes, keep your business information accurate and follow up calls that need a person. You remain responsible for the bookings, quotes and decisions made in your business.
- RingOut is not an emergency service. Callers in danger are told to ring 000.
- Miya does not give medical, legal, financial, tax or other professional advice, and you must not configure her to do so.
- Call transfer, call routing and SMS follow-up are not available until we release them.
Call recording and notices
Where call recording is included in your plan, calls are recorded and transcribed, and each call starts with a short recording notice. You are responsible for meeting the call recording, privacy and notification laws that apply to your business and your callers, including any notice you need to give in your own privacy policy.
Acceptable use
You must not use RingOut:
- for any unlawful, misleading or harmful purpose;
- to collect information you are not permitted to collect, or in breach of privacy laws;
- to impersonate another person or business;
- to interfere with, overload or reverse engineer the service; or
- in a way that would breach the terms of the phone and AI providers we rely on.
We may suspend or limit the service if your use puts callers, other customers or the service at risk, and we will tell you why where we can.
Third-party services
RingOut relies on third-party providers for telephony, speech processing, payments, calendars and hosting. Your use of Google Calendar, Calendly or other connected services is also subject to their terms. We are not responsible for outages or changes in services we do not control, although we work to keep RingOut running smoothly.
Availability and support
We aim to keep RingOut available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service, for example during maintenance or a provider outage. Support is provided by email. Business and enterprise customers may agree service levels with us in writing.
Your data and privacy
You own the business information you load into RingOut and the call records created for your business. You give us permission to use that information to provide, support and improve the service. Our privacy policy explains how we collect, store and handle personal information, including where call data is stored and processed.
Intellectual property
RingOut, Miya, our software, website and brand belong to RingOut Pty Ltd or its licensors. These terms give you a right to use the service while your account is active and do not transfer any ownership to you.
Liability
The service comes with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Apart from those guarantees, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profits or missed bookings, and our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim.
You are responsible for the information you provide and for how you use the service, and you agree to cover our reasonable costs if a claim arises from your breach of these terms or of the law.
Ending the service
You can stop using RingOut at any time. We may end or suspend your account if you seriously breach these terms or do not pay fees when due, after giving you notice where practical. When your account ends, we handle remaining data as set out in our privacy policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as RingOut changes. We will post the updated version on this page with a new date and tell account holders about material changes before they take effect. If you keep using the service after that date, you accept the new version.
Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws in force in Australia and the state or territory where RingOut Pty Ltd is registered, and you agree to the courts of that place.
Questions about these terms can be sent to hello@ringout.ai.
